Ron
Gill,
aka "Pokechop", has been playing rockin' rhythm and blues
guitar for any number of years now
.
He was born in New York City but spent most of his life in
the west. What began in
a
small Colorado cowtown as an experiment at playing a musical
instrument in the
1960's during the heyday of the British Invasion turned into
a lifetime of study and devotion to the guitar, harmonica
and all styles of the blues. Influences are many as
would be expected over the period of this long a time but
current favorites are Little Charlie Baty, Freddie King and
Hollywood Fats on guitar, James Harman and of course
Little Walter on harmonica and Jimmy Reed and Lucky Peterson
for their songwriting skills. Other groups he's
performed in are The Phantom Freeway Rhythm and Blues Revue,
Otis T. and the Hammers, Cindy Sweeney and Wichita River and
Plymouth Rock. Did I mention, Once upon a time the
blues boarded a riverboat down in New Orleans. . .
Dial us up when we come to your neighborhood, support your local musical establishment and have a great time! We're performing all up and down the beeyoutiful Maine Riviera, that stretch of the northern east coast that includes sandy beaches and cool surf. Come say howdy so we can get to know you.
The Other White Meats (TOWM).

Holding down the bottom end is Chad “Lamb Chop” Thorne . Chad, a natural right-hander, switched to playing guitar lefty as a result of an injury many years ago. In the midst of that process Chad also found his true "musical voice," the electric bass. He has now played that instrument, thankfully and joyfully, for a number of years in a variety of musical contexts. Chad is happy to be "bringing the funk" with PTOWM. Beware if you borrow his axe, it's not a mirage, he's a lefty.
DRUMS

Tom
DelRossi
has been playing throughout New England for the past "mmmmm"
years. Coming to Maine via the Boston Area he has had the
opportunity of working with dozens of Maine artist and bands.
While living in Maine Tom earned his Bachelors of Music at the
University of Maine in Augusta. Tom is a teacher for National
Music Workshop as well as a instructor at Mid-Town Music in
Biddeford, ME. Amoung the wealth of gig experience Tom has played
Live Friday Night Jazz with Rich Tozier on Maine Public Radio,
Live On Air at WOKQ 97.5 in New Hampshire, and the Hatch Shell in
Boston’s Commons.

While driving an unforgettable beat is their trade, these men comprise the rock solid rhythm section that is the hallmark of dance music around the world.
Thom Hanes' roots as a harmonica player and musician
extend to the deep south. He's played all over
Louisiana, Texas, Georgia and plenty of time in
a little town called Chicago. His playing brings
those flavors of the blues to life, sometimes
snarling, sometimes wailing, and sometimes crying. |
![]() Rusty Beckett: A man with a trusty feel for the blues and more. Rusty sits in with regularly at the blues jam and beyond. Thanks Rusty! |
Steven
Forest Hamblen: A pros pro brings a wealth of
experience, feel and a groovin backbeat to the blues and
all the other genres we perform. Come listen and
see how they do it down south |
Duane
Asdourian:
From the time he discovered and then jammed with Poppa
Chubby, Duane has brought a wicked intensity to the
harmonica. He's more than the Mississippi
Saxophone. |
![]() Cam Gray: Drummer par excellence. Don't let his young demeanor fool you he blueses up the place like a man twice his age. |
![]() Marc Perez: You'll be hearing more and more from Marc. Our number one go-to guy on drums. He seamlessly folds into the grooves that makes the blues live. |
![]() Bub Lynch: Bub makes it easy to play the blues. He's the ultimate professional who brings his A-game every night. |
